At Bearly Fun Games, we're a small, passionate collective dedicated to creating games that explore and celebrate queer experiences. We operate as a chill, hobby-like studio, focused on building unique worlds and telling stories close to our hearts.

Our Current Project: "Win The Date"

We are in the early stages of a gay dating card battler where players must navigate toxic behaviors and red flags without losing their self-esteem. It's a project that's both fun and meaningful, and we're excited to find new collaborators to help bring it to life.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a creative collaborator who is genuinely excited to explore queer themes in gaming. Our core value is passion for the stories we want to tell. Because of this, we would love to connect with you, regardless of whether there's an immediate fit for a specific role.

As a small indie team, we all wear multiple hats. The ideal collaborator has a primary skill (art, code, design, audio, etc.) but is also flexible and enthusiastic about contributing to tasks outside their main field of expertise.

Compensation

This is an unpaid, passion-project role. For commercial projects, we operate on a fair revenue-sharing model.

Time Commitment

Approximately 5-10 hours per week. We are flexible and understand that life happens.

Sound is the soul of a game. Whether you're a composer, a sound designer, or have an interest in voice acting, your skills could be a valuable addition. Help us shape the emotional landscape of our games.

We're looking for collaborators in 2D art, UI, concept art, character art, and animation to help us define our style. Got a passion for 3D and want to push us towards a new project? Let's talk!

We have a dedicated Godot 4 generalist, but the list of exciting code tasks is never-ending. If you have experience with GDScript, we'd love your help to build new mechanics, squash bugs, and bring ideas to life.

Words are at the heart of our games. We're looking for someone to help us weave compelling narratives through background stories, sharp-witted dialogues, and flavorful card descriptions.

This role is for the person who loves the "why" and "how" of play. You'll help us balance cards, design player progression, and fuse our game's theme with its mechanics.

Help us build a community around our work. This could involve digital marketing, responding to playtesters, video editing for social media, or reaching out to streamers.
